Pastors and ministry leaders are ‘on the mountain’ in Gutenstein, Austria for the 2013 FEIC Summit. The mountain welcomed us this year with the beautiful colors of autumn coloring the trees.
Again this year, we’re grateful to Vienna Christian Center, led by senior pastors Larry and Melinda Henderson, who along with their team are doing a fantastic job of hosting us. Great meals, non-stop coffee and service with a smile help make our Summit a memorable and refreshing time for all.
Our opening session featured introductions of special guests as well as FEIC members. This year, we welcomed guests from the USA, Turkey, Moscow and Malaysia. Apologies from those who couldn’t come: Larry Blakeslee, Steve and Patti Gray, Doyle Brummett and Randy & Diane McGehee.
After a ‘Summit’ dinner of fish and potatoes, topped off with coffee and dessert we enjoyed a corporate time of worship led by Michael and Dawn Marie of VCC and an introduction of our theme ‘Innovate: Embrace the Chaos, Create the Change’. See Terry Hoggard’s powerpoint on the theme here.
After a time of prayer, we viewed the annual ‘theme’ video prepared by our media tech Nolan Tarantino.
We capped off our opening day by enjoying our annual ‘International Smorgasbord’ featuring treats and snacks from the many nations represented. Chocolates, nuts, cheese, meats, crackers, cookies and more!
